What is the tint percentage of the rear passengers windows?

I have a 2014 Forester. Does anyone know the tint value of the rear window?

Thanks!

I think it's about 25%, a tad too dark to be legal on the fronts in some states (if it matters)

My bad -- I hate people that don't search first.

Only two votes in that thread, but both said 30%

If it's critical to know exactly, any professional tint shop will have a device that measures it and help provide a match.

I don't know if Subaru changed the tint percentages over the years, but here are the specs from 14 and 17.

Actually, I want this look for another car. The rear windows in the Forrester are about the perfect tint imho.

If any has info that they are something other than 30%, speak now!

I didn't want the factory tinted rear windows - a local shop does great work, and they match all around

srpuywa, looks really good! What % are those? If you had it to do over again, would you go with the same %?

Also, at night, if someone was casually walking by, could they see the contents of the interior?

It is 27% in the rear. I forget what the fronts are factory. Its not a linear equation but I put 35% on the fronts and it matched the rears.

It's 30% just a shade over legal here in WA. At night I doubt you could could see the interior but the light grey doesn't help

it's not as dark as the Silverado I had - that was too dark when driving at night
