orange accents..are they really ORANGE?

So I am in the process of ordering emblem overlays. I'm going to go with the accent color for the stars but the company I am going through has so many different colors on the color chart. I originally thought the accents were just "orange"...but after looking at them more, I feel like they aren't. Orange reddish maybe?

Can anyone help me out on this? The link for the color chart is below. My luck, I'll order orange and they'll be off and drive me nuts for the remainder of them being on. I just want some second or third opinions on what they would do!

What color is your car? The Subaru Orange is more like the Burnt Orange in my opinion

This one for the steering wheel matches very well. These are just stickers. They stick well. Listed as orange.

The contour of the orange trim pieces causes different "shades/hues" on edges and corners depending on the light. IOW they aren't a solid color all over when you look at them. For my eye this allows for a color that is close to blend in nicely.

IIRC this vendor does hood/trunk emblems as well. In your chart the orange red looks closest to me. But what do I know?

The Color Chart the site is using is from Oracal 651 vinyls. Below is a comparison of the various shades of orange from Oracal. (I have all 62 Colors available)

The left two shades are the closest match (using camera on phone).

Overall, “Orange Red” would be my choice if I were to match shades.
But, as peja stated, difference in angles and light will play tricks and make the stock orange trim look differently. Having a breakup in colors will fix that; small emblem in steering wheel and the vents orange trim. Wouldn’t be able to even tell at that point.

Thank you so so so much!! This helped a huge amount! Looks like I'll be going to go with the orange red. I was swaying that way to begin with but you just made the decision a little easier. Thank you guys for your input!

I have one of the orange decals on my steering wheel and agree that is it is closer to the orange used on the Crosstrek than the Forester Sport. Your color match looks good.

I just found a Rustolem color so I can paint some Hella horns. I dont think the color match is perfect, but it is really close for an off-the-shelf product. It is called Satin Paprika. As long as you are not using the color as a touch up paint, and have a little distance between colors than it will look nice.

Cheers,
Scott

ooh I was just wondering what off the shelf color would be close. Satin Pakrika! Good to know thanks!

I just bought a license plate frame (Custom Accessories 92825, black) and am going to mask it and paint just the 'swoopy' part in orange....will post a pic when it done!

I made a custom lic. plate frame...off the shelf and painted using the Satin Paprika! Love it and it looks really, really, close in color. Perfect for trim like this- but not to be used as a touch up color. O'Reilly Auto Store has this frame: Custom Accessories 92825, black which I modified to match my Sport Trim.

PS- I really like the orange trim accents. :)
