Car trackers

Does anyone have any experience with these and is it better to go with a pay per month or the one off payment .

There are so many to chose from

Ive used Global Telemetrics before, meant to be a one off payment but they hit you with a renew your warranty cost after a couple of years. Obviously you can pay this and the tracker stays in warranty and therefore working, you dont have to pay and obviously they cant guarantee that should you car be stolen, the tracker is still working.

Used to get a call if the alarm started going off/they thought something suspicious was happening (normally battery going low and me opening the door/trying to start it) but thats stopped now. There is an app with them that shows you where your car is, handy i guess if you lose it in a car park etc.

I did read something about warranties .Its a shame they hit you with that after you coughed up your hard earned.

Why do they have add a nasty twist …. just goes to show what a mine field it is.
