Now as for our club...
I have decided to put the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 245/40/19 on my car and sell or trade in my PS A/S 3+ 255/45/19. They have less than 5k miles on them and the wear is even across the board. I just had them rotated and checked. I'm only running -1 degree in the front and -1.5 in the rear.

I was able to get a brand new set of ISC spacers for a great deal from someone on our forum. So now I can run my stock 18's with an almost brand new set of Michelin Premier+ 235/55/18's. for winter's if I'm going anywhere there is snow or ice in the ground.

I have the CTS-V Brembo 4 pot mod for my front brakes so the stock 18 offset won't fit.

If anyone in SoCal is interested in purchasing my Pilot Sport A/S 3+'s let me know. I might even be able to transfer my warranty and free lifetime regular service. (Rotation, re-balancing, etc.) to

Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 255/45R18 with Fast FC04 18x9.5 ET40 on a 2009' FXT with stock suspension. Am I crazy? Will it work.? Too fat for snow...? Will I be rubbing one, or two, out....? Canada, winter is coming; pics to follow

I have 255 on my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, stock was 245 so only 10mm difference but I don't find any issues with the width. You have the HP to turn the tires so I don't think it will be an issue. Although old school says go with a narrow tire for winter... I just put 235's on my 2018 2.5i touring which again is 10mm over and I have no problems with ice and snow traction...

To those of you who are on the SG chassis and running a summer setup on 17x9, what tire sizes are you using? Doing a search here on this specific thread, it looks like many of you are using 255/40/17. My concern is that the speedo on the stock tire/wheel size (215/60/16) already reports a higher speed than the actual speed, and my calculations show that the smaller rolling diameter of a 255/40/17 will further offset the incorrect speedometer 4% (60mph reading vs 57mph reading).

Ideally I'd like to correct the inaccurate speedometer reading rather than making it less accurate. Any ideas?

Do you have any side profile shots?

I'm really curious if 35 offset brings it out too far for my tastes.

thanks!

Just bought my GF a new 2019 Forester Sport... Looking at 255/35/18 and 18x9.5 +38 wheels. Anyone seen or done this before?

I just squeaked in to the club :nerd::thumbsup::grin2:

Removed 18x7.5 CE28n with DWS06 235/50 for 19x8 CE28n with DWS06 245/45

The very first pic is a before and after. The new set up is a much better fit for the XT

Just put a set of 18x9.5 e38 Rota Titans wrapped with 255/45/R18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+'s on my 2009 XT. Stock suspension with no interference issue thus far under normal driving conditions (none were anticipated by the installer). The wheel 'poke' isn't too bad (I'm happy with the looks) but does spray a bit more grime up on the doors as expected so I will probably add some mudflaps soon. This very similar combo has been done before (see post 2155569) so I am here to confirm that is does indeed work/fit in my case as well.

Very nice. Do you know the offset of your 19x8 rims?

My apologies for the delayed reply. The offset should be +43, clears the brembos without the need of a spacer. :nerd:

You're in Pasadena? I work in Rosemead, and my lady lives in South Pasadena. I'm in the area often. Maybe I'll see you.
