Hey guys, I'm looking to join the 245+ club, I own a 2012 Forester XT Premium and I'm trying to figure out what tyre would fit the best with no rubbing!

Susp: MCA Coilovers (planned)
Rims: ROTA PWR 18x9.5+38
Tires: Looking at Michelin Pilot Sport 4 with either of these sizes (Feel free to recommend other tires!)

245/40/18
255/40/18
255/35/18
If there are other sizes that would suit it better please add them too!

I don't want to stretch my tires and I don't want to have flares.
If it's too much of a pain should I go with the less agressive same rim 18x8.5+44 instead?
I personally think the deeper 9.5 looks way meaner.
What else would I need to do with my suspension set up to make sure they fit?

Got my 245/50r18s yesterday along with a set method racing 503s in 18x8. 17.8 lbs a pop. Super happy with the look and feel so far.

245/50 r18 falken FK510, car is on sti pink springs no rubbing at all on full lock and plenty of guard clearance

wheels are gram lights 57xtreme 18x8.5 +42
The rears are flush, the fronts poke out the tiniest bit from the guard, I'm happy I didn't go any more aggressive on the offset

still have wheel gap but that's to be expected for an suv :wink2: besides, planning on doing some light gravel roads and beach trails around my area so a bit of clearance will help :)

With 9.5 wide if you donít want stretch really you should to go 265. On my 2012 wrx I ran 265/35 on stock suspension and had no issues with rubbing. Rear fenders rolled. Iím assuming a SH chassis on coils will be similar. You can do 255 for sure but there will be a little stretch. But nothing crazy.

TSW Forged 19x8 +35 (needed to clear my CTS-V Brembo Swap) Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 255/45/19. Front camber +1 Rear camber +1.5 (it is a daily...) I got an amazing deal on these wheels with Contact 6's on them. I was in a spot as my mechanic let me know the stock 18's weren't going to clear the calipers at 4pm on a Saturday.
There was no one with hub centric spacers available in the area. I came across a Craigslist ad for these $800 with the tires mounted and even had wheel bags. They were in brand new condition absolutely not blemishes anywhere. I told him I am not going to even haggle with you. I know how much these are worth. He's a Subaru family and these came off of his SJ FXT which he traded in for an H6 Outback because it was more practical for his children. They still have an NA SJ that's lifted his wife drives.

I would eventually like to go to a little bit different offset with an 8.5 or 9" wheel width. I've got plenty of room inside with my coilovers.
I wish I could get these same wheels in those widths, but alas it's not in the cards. And, due to my header install and ride height I only have 3-4" of clearance on the front protection plan. So I really can't go any lower. With my custom 8k Swift springs I get no rubbing whatsoever.
The front fenders are rolled the rears are a different story all together. There are a wheel arch, a rear bumper panel and a pinch weld section to deal with. A fellow owner of an SH showed me how they did his rears with the pinch weld section so it's doable to get more clearance back there, but it would be best to run an offset that set the wheels within the fenders
If I am in a position to get similar wider wheels with a little be closer offset I would go with the PS4's 255/40/19's. One can dream! lol

Suspension: Custom built BC Racing DR series digressive valved for being trackable with 8K front and rear Swift springs. All available Cusco bracing with the exception of the piece that goes behind the rear bumper, front and rear strut tower braces. Whiteline drop compensation front kit, front endlinks, rear spherical endlinks and rear toe arms, Perrin PSRS +.6 front rear of arm caster bushings, pitch stop mount, engine mounts and 25mm rear swaybar, ISC rear control arms, SuperPro front position control arm bushing and rear trailing arm bushings. I think that is it on suspension...>:)

Lots of great looking cars in here.

My current setup on an SH FXT (2009):

Wheels: XXR 527 18x8.75 +35mm
Tires: Continental ExtremeContact Sport 245/40/18
Suspension: 2013 WRX struts/springs
Spacers: 1/2" Subtle Solutions saggy butt spacers in the rear
Fenders: rolled in rear with some slight dremel cutting of the bumper

This setup rubbed in the rear slightly with weight (2+ passengers or heavy cargo), but once the fenders were rolled and some bumper trimming was done, it's perfect!

245/50-18 Goodyear Sport AS rubber mounted on 18x8-45 Motegi Tra****es (matte bronze). Dropped on RSRs.

So far, so good. Not the biggest fan of this tire but this size is pretty barren for all seasons.

Pics soon....

They were ever made in that spec. That guy must have misquoted or they are custom offset. Try calling RavSpec.

I think the miscommunication is that I have 114.3, which were made in that size and offset. Maybe not stocked regularly, but made and shipped from Enkei in Japan.

Try calling a vendor and they should be able to order directly from Enkei. Takes 3-4 months to get made and shipped.

They were made in a +35. The red SG is 5x114.3

They don't make that wheel in 5x100 with that offset. Ambit had something similar but its far from the same quality

I know it's going to sound weird, but check RallySportDirect.com.
I'm in agreement with everyone else though they never had that or any other wheel wider than 8/8-1/2 with a 5x100.

I figured that out recently when I was looking for wider wheels for my 2015 FXT. 8" width is all I could find in a 19 like I have. 18's were worse for the most part. Most were only 7-1/2 wide.
