That is slang for Forester. We owe credit for this one to our friends down under.

The Aussies engage in a form of nicknames and slang that others call "Baby Talk."

They came up with Fozzie, which shortens to Foz. My favorite baby talk is Chrissy Pressies, which is what you find under the tree on December 25th.

It's a handy abbreviation. (Although I like the F + "OZ" theory.)

In real life, I can't seem to call my Foz a "Foz", but writing posts here, it sure is convenient shorthand so I don't have to keep typing "Forester"...

Before joining this forum, if an Australian guy had asked me how I liked my Fozzie, I would have said "ice cold and straight from the oil-can." I mean, he'd be talking about Foster's lager beer, right?
Maybe that's Fossie.......

I'd prefer an unpasteurized Ipswich Ale.

Sorry for going off topic.

I can't bring myself to call my car a Fozzie. That reminds me of Fozzy bear from a children's book. I prefer to think of it as Fonzy. Now, if only it had black leather seats.

My Dad was an Ipswich man back in the day. Do you prefer the dark or the light?
Ipswich makes an IPA that any Australian could be proud of, especially if he was slowly consuming it whilst washing his fozzie...fossie...whozzie?
Now I'm thirsty...g'night.

Could you please send me a gallon glass recyclable jug of unpasteurized Ipswich IPA from Kappy's. I will make it worth your while.

That Ale is made down the street from where I worked. Good stuff in brown Growler Jugs. Harpoon IPA is spectacular too - though I give the nod to a fresh Ipswich from MA.
