No ... I'm not kidding. This is straight up.

A couple I know detected a rare eye-cancer called retinoblastoma in their 4-month old baby from family snapshots they took of him one evening.

The kid's eyes looked completely normal when they looked at him. But when they took flash photographs with the red-eye reduction accidentally turned off, one eye glowed red (as normal) the other showed strangely milky white.

They've asked me to publicize this, and I've made an entry on my blog about their story, and what they did, together with the photos they took.

It's a simple thing, but being alert to this could save a child's life. Please spread the word.

Wow good to know.I ran off & looked at pics of our daughter.Both red eyes showing.

Hmm! I've seen the milky eye thing before but thought that was just a camera thing! Too bad I don't remember who it was. Thanks for the tip!
