I love driving my XT in sport# mode using the paddle shifter. I chose the XT for the fun factor..my question is I regularly drive in sport# mode will it damage the cvt in the long term?? I do let the engine warm up to 90c before engaging the sport mode.

When I floor it there is a slight hesitation between the simulated gears in auto sport # mode...is that normal? Or is that turbo lag?

Thanks

I get the same hesitation when I use auto in s# but feels better in manual mode also know one really knows how much abuse the CVT can handle but try not to floor it too much to extend the life of it like any other transmission

I wouldn't worry about it. The computer will disengage S# if the tranny temp gets too high.
