I'm planning to mount a subwoofer in the left pocket of the cargo area, but at least for now, I'm keeping the stock head unit in my '03 X. I've heard that the XS/XT wiring harness has wiring in place for a sub--what does that wiring consist in? Would it be an easy/possible install?
I was considering splicing into my rear speaker wires and either running them directly to the high level input on my amp, or using a line out converter to use my amps rca jacks. But I'd rather use a different wiring harness.
If I do end up splicing the rear speaker wires, how do I get the wiring harness that's currently hooked up to my head unit out, to do the splicing?
Thanks in advance, any advice would be much appreciated.
