I am wanting to buy a set of rims and tires.
Core Racing 16x7 5/100-114.3 Silver 238 EVO-7 +40 "steel"
will the offset on these work with my 2002 Forester S?

We're running 235/50-17x7, +40 offset on our '03 X with the standard suspension height. No rubbing issues at all. There might be a problem is the suspension has been lowered. It will stress the wheel bearing a bit more. :wink:

Those rims should easily fit on your MY02...
They aren't much wider than stock, and the lower offset with stick them further from the suspension..
