According to the dealer the guy traded in for an automatic Forester because of a severely broken foot. So what is the better buy?

You sure he didn't break his foot driving like an idiot and running the piss out of it?

Unless you're sure, buy new. For less.

They are both about the same. The extra 1K pays for the differences.

If you really like the extra's, I would try to talk to the previous owner and see if the history of the car is as you were told.

Then make up your mind based on what YOU want in the car ..... Color etc.

But by all means ...... DRIVE BOTH !!!! That alone may make the decision for you.

I'd see if they'd throw in
# ipod interface
# Sat. Radio module
# Fog Light kit
# Rear spoiler
# autodim rear view w/ compass

for 1K and then buy the brand new one.

2010 X Premium w/AWP

I just received a quote of $22,399 for a 2010 2.5X Premium with All Weather Package and no dealer installed options. This is "drive off the lot" price, minus MD tax, title and tag. I think the dealer can come off another 500 - 800. Anyone doing better?

A used car for more money than a brand new one? I have no idea why anyone would consider the used car of the same model vs. a new one. Options shmoptions, someone you've never met did who-knows-what to this thing for 2,200 miles.

Ask them to knock $3,000 off the used one.

Wow that dealer is really baiting you to buy the used one.

Go for new.

The dealer will push for the used, especially if you showed any interest. IMO, the ipod interface is worthless. I'm no fan of the spoiler. You might have fun modding all the other stuff yourself tho. Most of the options you can find on most new Fozzies. Look around.

Also, ask yourself if you really need that other stuff. I wouldn't consider the used unless the dealer went down another $2000 and threw in a Gold Plus warranty and Added Security.

Northern Va - dealer quoted $23, 632.00+tax+tag+processing fee for 2010 Forest Premium 2.5X with All Wheather Package, remote engine starter, splash guards, rear bumper cover, auto dimmer and compus mirror.

Is that a good ideal? The MSRP is $26,015.00.

Thanks

No brainer..get the new one. You should be able to get the price of the new one down a bit more.
