Where the HECK is my FPR 05FXT with ej20x swap?

So I like to know how well my fuel system is working so I want to install a Externally adjustable FPR with a gauge BUT I have looked over the whole fuel rail and lines and I cannot find the FPR or a vacuum line to support it. Drivers side is two black dampners (no vacuum line) one on incoming and one out going and I followed the hardlined everywhere and NO FPR!!! Am I crazy? I also looked at the intake manifold and fuel rails off the JDM engine just for a reference and it doesnt have one either but it probably is on the firewall so I dont know. Any help much appreciated.

@TWhitney looking at your previous posts, you posted you have an '05 XT with a ej20x. Not sure this will help, but take a look at this thread:

How to replace Fuel Pressure Regulator

Thats and o6 model year and totally different fuel rail than mine and its not in that location ,it may be buried back by the turbo down low.
@TWhitney the issue may be with your engine swap. I'm going to add "with ej20x swap" to your thread title. 😉

Iused the factory intake and fuel rail so the swap shouldnt matter at all.
The '04 XT Subaru technical repair manual refers to a fuel pressure regulator. The '05 was a transition year... oddly my Subaru technical documents skips the '05... '03-'04, '06-'08. I'm guessing it would be more like the '06+ than the '04 engine. Hence the link I posted in my previous post.

Curiously, the Subaru technical repair manual doesn't show the fuel pressure regulator, but does mention it in the fuel pressure testing procedure. It says to disconnect the vacuum hose, that connects to the intake manifold, on part of the testing procedure.
Measure the fuel pressure while disconnecting the pressure regulator vacuum hose from intake manifold.

Ive looked threw the same Docs and they just dont pertain to my year and heck if i can find it and im not new to fuel systems I designed them for seadoo. I hope its just way back down low on the passenger side near the turbo but i cant see it with a mirror and flashlight. There is a vacuum line going back to the fuel pump i sure hope they didnt put it in the tank. Sounds strange but if its not down by the turbo its in the tank.
The fuel pressure regulator - FPR vacuum line is connected to the intake manifold. Trace the attached vacuum hoses to find the FPR. You know the FPR will be on the fuel line, so that should give you a location to start from 😉
