Should be right on the firewall behind the turbo, maybe a little lower

open the hood, look at the left side of the intercooler, slightly down and to the left of the intercooler is the downpipe (exhaust pipe with heat shields on it) directly behind the downpipe is the firewall, look at the firewall and follow it downwards till you see a medium sized black hose coming out of the firewall, maybe 6 inches long

is tube metal? I see one possible candidate but it goes down near front left tire and I can' t get good look on it without lifting the car.

It should be a rubber hose protruding from the fire wall at an angle.

I'm not 100% sure on the SH models, but I'm almost positive it will be a rubber hose about 3/4" in diameter pointing down. It will just have an open end. The hose will "disappear" into the firewall just about where Conner said it was. It's below the big wiring harness thing too. It's down there quite a ways. I would bet it would be easier to get to it from below.

Passenger side of the engine bay, coming out of the firewall near the exhaust, down low.

Edit: Here, except it'll be pointing down.

Is drain tube clear tube? So firewall is on left side of picture in this case?

The drain tube is the black tube in that pic. The clear tube is something he has shoved in it. He also has it pulled up. It would normally be facing down.

ok I think I found it. It was on passenger side as indicated and way down there! Thank you for your help.

I will make sure I see some water dripping before I apply foaming cleaner.

well, I drove for 20 minutes in 60 degree weather (with AC on) and could not get water to drip through the tube.

It looks like it is in right place and end of tube is clean (no oil, grease). Tube is black and flexible. Is there any chance this can be anything other than evaporator drain tube?

I don't want to make a mistake of putting foaming cleaner into something else.
