I'm about to order some locking wheel nuts to secure the alloys on my Forester S-Turbo, but I haven't a clue what size to buy! Does anyone have the specs? It's a european model Forester.

Thanks,

12x1.25.

12mm bore, 1.25mm thread pitch.

Stock wheels use a tapered seat... the stock lugs have a shallow "acorn" profile but any standard tapered or conical seat lug nut will work, usually resulting in higher lug-to-seat contact area, which is a good thing.

That's great thanks! Wasn't too worried until a friend said 3 Toyota Avensis's had all their alloys taken from a housing estate down the road last week. Sounded like a theft to order. And you'd think you were safe if you didn't have non-standard upgraded 18" wheels... I mean, come on, standard Toyota alloys! Time to get locking wheelnuts I reckon.

One more question...

Just one more question (makes me sound like Columbo!), anyone know if the stock nuts (and hence the wheel-brace) are 19mm or 21mm? The McGard security nuts come in 2 sizes.

THREADS KEY HEX SIZE
M12 x 1,25 19 MM
M12 x 1,25 21 MM

Thanks,
