What is your ride height? How does it compare to other Foresters?
Post your measurements and I’ll add them to this spreadsheet. I think I will keep it sorted highest to lowest. I’m real interested to see stock measurements too. Especially how the new higher 06's compare to earlier models.

Here is how to measure your wheel arch height.

I’ve added ground height which is taken from ground to the fender. This takes into account tire size.

I took my measurement with an ordinary tape measure. Not the most accurate way to do it but it should be fine for this. I used this site to convert my measurements to metric. Doing this in metric makes comparing and sorting easier.

So where all do you need measurements from?

I assume ground to front fender top, ground to rear fender top and ground to ????????

Forester STi (06) on AST Sportline II height-adjustable coilovers. 2000 miles.

Ground to bodywork F 690 mm R 700 mm
Centre of wheel to bodywork F 385 R 395

Tyres: 235/40-18, F 35 PSI R 33 PSI

Measured with tape measure after half a bottle of wine

At the moment the suspension is set fairly high, a future revision to the ASTs is likely to drop it by about 20mm.

The first measurement is front fender to wheel center, rear fender to wheel center, then ground to front and rear fenders.:icon_biggrin:

Thanks, :icon_biggrin:
I didn't think I would be the lowest for too long.
Let's hear from some of you off-road folks.

Not sure if L/R measurements will help, but mine are definitely not symmetrical:

2005 XT, full tank.
~31K Mi., ~5K on tires.
215/50-17, 38 PSI F&R.
Springs (Same as Yelnatsj): WRX F, H-Tech R on OEM FXT struts.

Arch Front Left: 376 Arch Front Right: 378
Ground Front L : 688 Ground Front R: 690

Arch Rear Left: 374 Arch Rear right: 380
Ground Rear L : 686 Ground Rear R: 692

Looks like I am suffering from the dreaded left-rear sag (which I've noticed, but not bothered to measure before...)

I think I'll go for a ~5MM spacer in the left rear strut to even things up a bit- can't hurt the corner-balance, either (which I've also noticed when turning left vs. right, but also never bothered to pursue...where's the lazy, yawning smiley when you need it? :icon_idea:)

Current ride height (road to fender lip at wheel center):

Front: 654mm
Rear: 673mm

Current ride height (hub center to fender lip):
Front: 356mm
Rear: 375mm

Sorry, don't have "before" measurements.

Keep in mind, I'm running tires that are Kuhmo MX 225/45-17's.

PSI is 36 all around.

5K miles on suspension

Suspension is v8 spec C struts and 2005 Prodrive STI springs, front PDE camber plates.

Currently mine is 445 wheel arch height and 780 to ground.

Next week (after adding some custom Kings Springs) mine will/should be 465 front / 470 rear; so 800 front / 805 rear approx.

15" wheels / BFG A/T 21575R15 @ 38 psi

KYB Excel-G / GR2 struts; Kings Springs (30mm lift reset -20mm front & -15mm rear); SubaXtreme 40mm lift kit.

MY'03 XS / 3/4 tank / 43K (hard) miles!

I'll update again when the spring job is done.

215/65-16 Pirelli Scorpion ST, 36psi

Brand spanking new KYB GR2 struts, 70k miles on springs

Any chance you can put the stock dimensions at the top of your chart, in chronological order?

That is perfect! And I'm at the top of the list! :Banane08: At least until Kevin gets his springs sorted out.

05 XT - 1/2 tank, <2000k on KYB AGX/WRX wagon springs, struts are set at 1F/2R if it matters.

wheel to fender F 375 / R 375
ground to fender F 695 / R 695

225/50/17 - 37/35psi

I was a little suprised to see the front and rear exactly the same, but I double checked it. It is what it is.

Jobs done - it's actually 10mm higher in the front and 10mm lower in the rear than I expected :icon_confused: I'm wondering if it's possible to get the front & rear springs the wrong way round?

Front Arch now 475mm / to ground 810 mm

Rear Arch now 460mm / to ground 790 mm
