Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

taped the corners of my heating elements for my seat warmers. they were crawling towards the middle. lol

oh, and a car wash.
Just ordered Xi2's with steel wheels.
Nice wheel weights :)
I'm so sweet, I color matched them to the rims.. hahah!

Today Illmannered and I bumped into Dempsey/Snoshado in Tahoe! Went for a quick run up the mtns in the XTs and I took a TON of dirty foz pics. Will be posted shortly :)
Spent the day wandering around the Ozark National Forest (my first trip out in the Foz). Came home and quickly gave it a bath. Don't judge :)
Hung out with Matt O and Jessica randomly and went for a photoshoot teehee
Gave her that boxer rumble
STi exhaust & custom midpipe went on today
Did my first ever oil change! Only took me about 2.5 hours. :icon_biggrin:

It gets easier every time. For me it's getting that plastic shield unattached and out of the way. I've got it down to .5 of an hour now. :Banane37:

Exactly! that stupid plastic plate took forever! Then I had to go back to the auto parts store and get an oil filter wrench ha.
Had my yoko geolander at-s installed yesterday. So far very happy, and they look way better than the [email protected] stock duellers. Hopefully they stand up better that the Duellers. Only had 38000 km's and need them replaced.
Just bought an 02 S.

Replaced pads and rotors because they were shuddering on braking. went low cost NAPA, $220 all the way around. front rotors had deep grooves in them and all were very rusty. of course snapped the last rusty caliper bolt. turned a 3-hour job into a 8-hour job. drilled it out, re-threaded it. now we have excellent stopping action!

next is the clangy heat shield fix (which i've read all about on these awesome forums).
Installed Kartboy rear subframe locking bolts and bought a new perrin catted downpipe.
Hopfully dropping it off at the dealership for the LAST time regarding this misfire... They'd better have a loaner car available too.
