Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

(over the past week) I put 4 Centric premium rotors, and Stoptech Street Performance pads all around. Loving the new brake feel!

Over the past few days.. lots of snow shenannigans.
We have had about 100+ centimeters of snow in some parts of the city.. in 2 days. day 3 has been clear so far.

Check out this pic! :) My Forester is on the right, day 2. I had already cleaned it off, and the Honda Civic beside me hadn't been cleaned in 2 days.
We had grass a few days before this.... ;)

Me too ...:)
Yesterday, I swapped the OEM radio for a Sony CDX-G650UI.

Today, I had to remove it and connect the wire for the antenna booster that I overlooked. The good news is that I'm getting really good at removing that stubborn trim piece.

My only "problem" is that we've had over 100 centimeters of snow in the past two days! So I haven't been able to bed them in yet, because I can't stop fast now snow. :p Otherwise they look fantastic and bite hard already. I can't wait till I can bed them nice real nice. :D
Slapped a new rear window wiper on it, and drove it 300 miles yesterday!
nearly cried when the misfire returned... looks like another 1½ hour drive to the dealership :frown:

I'm the second owner of my Forester. I actually bought it from a little old 84 year old lady. My Wife uses it so now it's used by another little old lady. it doesn't get any abuse. So now after owning my 2006 for 2 years it's got 48,000 miles on it. I think it's time to start replacing fluids so it'll last, so today I took it to the dealership and had the front and rear differential fluid changed. When I picked up the car, the clerk gave me my statement which had the mechanic's "recommendations" written on it. He recommended I replace the wipers, get new tires even though the tires on it are only 2 years old, wheel alignment, change the transmission fluid, which I plan to change next, and change the coolant even though I changed it last Fall. It's like some body trying to rob you. :N_poke:
Check the Trans fluid, since it slipped some the other day, guess it was the cold effecting it some how as the levels where right and today it did not slip.

think I will do a fluid change soon anyway just to be safe.
