Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.
(if this is a repost, please delete it)

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

They are not mine, they are borrowed.
continued to wait for my Scooby921 strut spacers that i ordered from TiC 2 weeks ago. I am not amused right now.
Today washed it. Day before drove to San Francisco and back 540 miles, and along the way schooled some punks in a Diesel truck that was tail gating me in a place I couldn't pass the car in front of me. When the passing lane came up the truck blew by me with all the friggin smoke and crap coming off his truck. When we got back in the twisties, I blew by him and never seen him again. Dang this thing can handle, and the high beams are the brightest I've ever had on a vehicle. I think they screwed up at the factory and put HID'S in mine.
got it aligned and adjusted tire pressure. Rides much better now. Still not totally sure how I feel about these Conti DWSs but, maybe I will decide more once I get in some wet weather.
Painted my grill Flat black, and removed the silly front bumper guard that the previous owner installed, only to find that holes were drilled in the bumper to mount it (ughhhh!) so now im looking up some form of rubber grommets to put on these circular holes.
Installed the awesome auto-dimming rear-view mirror w/compass & Homelink.
NEW WHEELS! :woohoo:

Tarmac II's, scored them for an unbeatable price!
^^Not such a good idea. It's been known to damage the front of the Foresters. Sorry.
Sanded, bondo'ed the holes, and resprayed my front bumper. Re-spray was done in bed-liner material. Looks 100% better now that it's all sprayed instead of half way down........but forgot to mask the fogs for some reason (I was extremely tired). Now I have sprayed fogs filled with mud. NEED new fogs now.

Also fixed my sunroof relatively easily...then I made a video in which I talked a lot......

Starter button

I want one. Where can I get it?
Got it from ebay;

SUBARU WRX STI LEGACY FORESTER STARTER BUTTON SWITCH: eBay Motors (item 230353829849 end time Nov-25-10 08:00:44 PST)

Cheap but awesome! Only took a couple of hours of fiddling and most of that was because I didn't want to replace the cigarette lighter.
