Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

I kind of beat her up a bit. Went to some of my favorite off-roading spots and lost daylight quick. Snapped a few shots with her tail up in the air.

One of my new all time favorite forester shots. Thats awesome
Showed up a Rav4 on the beach about 15mins ago :woohoo:

thank god for the dual-range gear box or I would of been stuffed with tight tires
Bought her some new mats as a reward for spanking some guy in a BMW
Found and fixed a loose hose clamp on the turbo air intake duct, reset the ECU and got my '04 XT's maximum boost back to the spec 11.6 psi. It still has 20 inches of vacuum at idle too. Not bad for an engine with 122,000 miles on it.
This happened yesterday but I fixed my mudflap and trimmed both rears so they won't drag anymore! I'm so excited :D

Also got gas and as a reward for my grandma-driving style, got 25 CITY mpg since my last fill up!
Today I towed a utility trailer with my new ride for the first time. I had about 1900 lbs total on the way to dads and no more than a 1000 lbs on the way home. No problems at all.

Drove around town all day yesterday too. All while Keeping the rpms under 2k and the speed under or near the limits.

Long Live Grandma!
Painted the lower section on my rear bumper satin black like the 06-08 SG's. I have to say I really like it and it also helped to cover the chips and crappy paint job the dealer did pre-sale. Matter of fact I'm going to walk outside and look at it again.
Refinished a used Kartboy knob and installed it. Also swapped upgraded the gauge surrounds with silver rimmed surrounds.

Smashed on an Infiniti.... on I5..:)
he felt he wanted some and then I gave it to him..
he couldn't handle it.
Pwned my friend's WRX in a quick bout of gravel lot shenanigans. I must say that it looked really cool running the cones.... in my rearview mirror. Probably the only time I'll ever see it there.
This was Sunday, valve adjustment, new valve cover gaskets and then cleaned up the mess I left behind. Besides oil on the spark plug boots the adjustment was needed as the valves were starting to rattle more than usual, should be good for another 180,000 miles.
Pulled off my summer/autocross wheels and tires and put on the all season set.

Which of course includes inspecting the brake pads, brake lines, struts, springs, sway bars, endlinks, endlink bushings, rear diff, exhaust, valve cover gaskets....doesn't everyone inspect all that when switching wheels? Haha!
