Got a tune! Wow, what a difference.

What is involved in getting a tune? I have an NA forester and Id love to have it retuned to get a bit more out of the engine but i know absolutely nothing about it? A tune changes the parameters of the ECU right?

Moonroof air deflector - gets a "meh" for looks but works well.

Installed a Kartboy short-throw, front and rear bushings a week ago, then finished it off today with a new knob....just a solid metal knob, no leather, no stickers ... nada. Smooth as my ... well, it's smooth.

Reason for the change? I have considered it. I was using Motul, but it get's pretty expensive. Switched to Mobil 1 based on a recommendation from LIC.
I have an Amsoil dude about 3 blocks from my house whop sells the stuff. I was again told to use Motul again.. Hmmmmm

just experimenting. I ran Motul last time around, and tried getting it again but my local motorcycle place sells automotive AMSOIL for the same price as the Motul without making me drive a couple hours to get it.

I changed 2 bearings (rear wheels), rear brake pad, changed the motor oil, tranny oil, prestone, cleaned all the mud under my forester....

Next thing, get the tranny oil pan fixed... that thing leak so bad

Pulled off my whole front bumper and removed a small plastic section of the grill that restricts air from getting into the air intake. First gear feels smoother now and not so touchy or stuttery.

Yesterday Took it to Sublab Whangarei, Got a full service on it, Then took it up 90 Mile beach and cleaned it today to get the sand and salt off! Love my Turtle Wax Ice!
