What did you do to your subie today?

Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

Washed/waxed it and didn't drive it lol.

Oh and took some HDR photos with my iPhone! omgawd x]

Oh oh and I took off all my decals omg!

What's this mean? Did you paint it or something?
Yeah sprayed it with black VHT header paint (except the bellmouth), so it doesn't stand out quite so much. I was surprised how nice the finish turned out, hopefully it holds up once on the car (still needs to be cured on the car too).
I de-badged my Foz and had it detailed, everything buffed out well. Would not have tried if not for the tips found here!
And so begins my modding.
Just installed my GroupN transmission mount. What a difference it makes!
I drove from Kamloops to Campbell River in the FXT.

It made the 2 screaming kids tolerable.
washed the car at diy carwash. it was the first time i reached in through the wheels to get at the brake dust on the inside of the wheels, worked pretty well; good thing i don't have a big brake kit, there would've been much less space to squeeze my hand through, haha. wheels look properly clean, or at least better than the usual "two-tone" of black on the outside and brake dust brown just inside. used meguiar's plast-x for the headlights, which always works well (squeak*squeak) to get rid of the haze. lookin' forward to puttin' on new set of rubber that should be arriving tomorrow... =)
yesterday: pulled front subframe to install an 06 sti rack, installed whiteline rack bushings, installed shifter bushings
today: (so far) reinstalled driveshaft, exhaust, shifter and trim. Hopefully will finish up installing the sti rack and subframe, and maybe finish brembos and goodridge lines
finished Installing sti rack & subframe
Installed STI manifold
Installed goodridge lines
Filled tranny
Filled Power steering

Tomorrow:
Pick up STI Hood scoop painted DGM
Install Subtle trunk brace
Install Moboost rear strut bar

Thursday:
Install Subtle splitter
Install STI Hood scoop
Install Brembos
bleed brakes
Install CRV wheels with snow tires

road test!?

This is my goal for today as well. We have a photoshoot planned or tonight (if its doesnt rain) so I have o get both of them cleaned up.
Annual PA State inspection @23,800 miles. Brakes are holding up well with 10/32nds up front and 7/32nds in rear.
Should have drove it anyways
I should have huh! lol I tried it in a sweet way... like "Hey, want me to go get us some coffees??? I'll drive so you can relaaaaax!?" and he laughed while saying NO. hahah

To be nice, he did let me drive it the first time I went up. :Banane28:
Had the tree guy drooling over it... even though it wasn't even my nicer one.

Assembled my fuel rails and most of the intake manifold. Hoping that this samco turbo inlet tube will actually fit (its very tight to the pass side tgv motor, would fit perfect if the whole thing was about an inch longer).

Just have to check all the hose clamps on the fuel rails and then install the engine harness and it should be ready to install on the engine with the grimmspeed spacers.

Also got the turbo all ready, finally got the DP studs in the mail today, so it can now be installed on the uppipe (hopefully I can get the turbo inlet onto the turbo when I install the intake manifold with the turbo already in place). Double checked the P&L ss oil line, not 100% happy with fitment, but it -has- to work as the stock one is too bent up (and probably cracked now) to bolt to the turbo.

Hopefully first start will be friday or saturday.
She is too far from home to do something like that. :icon_cool:

Should have drove it anyways
You have to get up pretty early to make that happen and you don't.

And you're right. I hate mornings and you get up WAY too early. :N_poke:
Painted the front driver side caliper after painting the passanger side last weekend. Tomorrow is the rear caliper and thinking about painting my rims.
