Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today?? :biggrin:

I actually waxed my XT's hood. 2 coats of wax too!

Now to clean and wax the rest..

Installed the led work lights or in my case the work lights are used as extra backup lights.
The switch inside for turning them on and off manually. I have not connected them through any relay yet.

Filled it with crap to unload in the work dumpster to get ready to finish the basement.

Replaced my Air/Fuel sensor, re-painted the belt cover, re-painted the battery tie down, painted my fog grills flat black as I didn't like the gray plastic look, re-painted all of my whiper arms flat black, then stripped, primed and painted my passanger side calipers black and replaced my front brake pads....busy weekend!

Was allowed to plant my a$$ in Illmannereds 08 XT Limited all weekend and assisted in mounting the roof basket on the rails.

I also got shutdown quick like when I excitedly asked to drive it....lol

New parts for 08XT came in today :biggrin:

Going to get pedal installed now, 04 steering rack on Wed and then alignment with rear camber bolts.

Wow Das, that's nice! I was contemplating in my mind of painting the grill insert black rather than buying the mesh grill. I gotta say you just convinced me to do it. What did I do to my Foz today? I cleaned out all those stupid helicopter seeds that fall out of my tree that hangs over my driveway from my air vents under the hood.

Installed the momo shift knob and Roady 2 awhile ago. don't know why pictures will not work properly.

yesterday: pulled front subframe to install an 06 sti rack, installed whiteline rack bushings, installed shifter bushings
today: (so far) reinstalled driveshaft, exhaust, shifter and trim. Hopefully will finish up installing the sti rack and subframe, and maybe finish brembos and goodridge lines

I hear ya. Seasons are changing. Here's a few more pictures. pull all the plastic off, and this is what you get. Well I put the pics on the 1st post (duh)

Lol. I think I'm gunna go with a gloss black on the inset to blend it with the body color. I want to keep the chrome to go with the headlights since i won't be baking those.

Washed/waxed it and didn't drive it lol.

Spent $2350.60 to fix my Subie

O well she needed it. Got a newer transmission (2001 61k), rear-wheel bearing, valve adjustment, brakes, and tune-up.
