Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.
(if this is a repost, please delete it)

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

Drove it to work. Ragged the @rse off it on the way home! ;o)
Used my Foz to help get a buddy get unstuck from what he called, a "ditch".......

(and yes, this is the same 4Runner from my "rock crawling" video)

that is totally a ditch to a toyota owner
Drove the 2010x into Washington DC. Thursday we will travel thru5 states back home.
sharp is awesome!!!

let me know where your friend live

Helped my friend get a new toy home:
Had my A/F Sensor replaced and got an oil change. Such a noticeable difference, bosts from 3k to redline and I love it
Unwittingly raced(more like briskly accelerated) a Riced Civic last night to get in front at a merge point. I even bounced of the rev limiter in 2nd gear because that is when I looked back to see how FAAAAAR he was.

So even a SUV with a bad driver(me) who forgot to shift going uphill still beat you...damn that hurts.

yesterday the AC belt broke on the way to a lawn care job, was only 95 here,so yeah great time for it to break. got home from mowing the lawn and decided since the alt. belt has to come off anyway. i replaced both the alt. belt and the AC belt.

so far have owned it a bit over a month and the more I drive it the more I like it.
and happy to say it is towing my 1,200 pound commercial mower and trailer just fine. fully expected the trans temp light to come on yesterday when towing, but so far no problems. now to see if I can fix my center AC vent.

love my Fozzie.
Good bye temp tag - hello plates. DMV - a great way to start your morning!

Well if you prevent it from hunting for gears a lot I wouldn't think the trans temp light would come on. Then again 1,200 lbs isn't usually a problem for most things.

The biggest issue when towing is the cooling system, that falters and brings down everything with it.

Your best bet is to switch to a synthetic ATF if you are worried that much. Even a simple drain and fill would be enough for now just do it every 5k miles until the fluid looks exactly like the new stuff.
Ok thanks for the advice,I want to keep this baby healthy. so far no issues.but hey anything that can make it better is worth it.

I have noticed it dose like to change gears a bit, but not to bad, mainly up and down hills.

also I start off easy with it and let it build up speed.
I did my first few full throttle logs since installing a VF43.
