Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car
When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!
What did you guys do to the subarus today??
In preparation for 2500 mile trip from Anchorage to Yellowknife (Northwest Territories, Canada), had Quicksilver serviced, autotransmission flushed (80,000 miles), detailed, washed and reinstalled cargo liner (everybody should have one!), covered (not so as to affect side airbags!) rear seats for anticipated cargo, put cargo carrier on roof racks, cleaned and installed bug deflector and lower half of 'bra'.
We're close to 'road trip time'!

Took a little jaunt up an old strip mine road to get a photo with its new wheels and tires. Sport Edition F9's w/ Michelin Harmony touring tires.img]http://www.subaruforester.org
I put my new JDM trim piece in the dash. I was coming home for lunch and the mailman just happened to be at my door with a box! Perfect timing since you have to sign for international stuff. I love it. It looks so much better. The last car meet I went to people were saying that it looked fine how it was. It was worth the money if you ask me.
Went out to buy a second hand Kona Scrap to try out mountain biking again after a 20 year lay off. (This isn't mine but it's the same colour/style etc... http://images03.olx.pt/ui/2/91/84/17358784_1.jpg)

We (my roommate and I) dropped my Scoobie and threw some Swifts on the stock struts and it looks fllluuuush! I'm so happy! I think I am gonna make a journal post here in the next few days of the install.
