Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.
(if this is a repost, please delete it)

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

Hey Randi, I take my FSXT to Dale Daugherty of NW Subie Service. His address is: 17190 NW Springville Rd, Portland, 97229. 503-504-4032

He's one of the few people I trust to wrench on my car.

Put some gas in it. I really need to get it re tuned.
Finished trip today (see post #930 in this thread). Got a bad case of highway hypnosis (or travel 'duhs', more likely not enough coffee) this morning and put 89 octane gas in instead of 87 octane (just over 9 gallons). Didn't seem to impact performance.

Now it's due for the 30,000 mile service.

The Forester is really a fun vehicle to travel in.

Nice vent gauge, I've been eyeing that thread here and there. Is that guy selling those now?
Got one of those cheapy headlight restoration kits from Harbor freight.
Wow,what a difference.
From piss colored lenses to crystal clear.
Best $8 I've spent in a while.
Picked my car up from the dealership... new left-rear wheel bearing, hurray for still having warranty coverage!

Had them do an oil change while it was up in the air too. Now I'm running Motul 8100 :icon_biggrin:

I'm beta testing it. Worth every penny and then some.

What exactly is this?

as for what i'm doing to my subie today...

... removing the front subframe to fix a fubar'd thing I did to the FSB mount the other day.
I re-did the grounding wires under the hood and replaced some of the bolts in the engine room. Only one size of bolts tho. Be taking the M8 bolts next time. This time I only took some of the what I think was M6 bolts....
Anyway bolts are cheap and it was worth getting rid of some of the rust bolts. All new rust free bolts.
Today I accomplished my first:
Subaru FXT oil change - very easy & went synthetic
Subaru 4EAT transmission fluid change - got 4.9 quarts out and put in 3.5 quarts...kind of worried but the dipstick says i'm good

Tomorrow I will be tackling spark plugs...oh boy.

Replaced Tires with Potenza G019 Grid at Firestone next to Coddingtown Mall. I still have to take shots with the tires on, had to go to dance practice after I left firestone.

Then washed and spray waxed the FXT at the coin wash even though the pictures are deceiving. Its covered in pollen.
