Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.
(if this is a repost, please delete it)

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today?? :biggrin:

It takes a big man to openly admit failure without coaxing.

And that is why you don't install remote start systems in manual vehicles. I once witnessed a car wash/detail attendant almost getting his legs crushed between two vehicles in a very similar situation...

couldn't you wire the remote start in with the clutch pedal depress switch to make it safer? :crazy: :icon_razz: :biggrin:

Ouch!
Sunday I installed a set of free cheapie tweeters in my wife's 2002 S that I got when I ordered a new Kenwood HD radio for my 2000 OBS. I aleready had the Subaru tweeters in my OBS and the one for the 2002 are not available anymore so in they went. They only took a half hour to install including the time to solder the connectors and guess what? They sound great and noticeably improved over the two-way Panasonic speakers that were in the car when I bought it.

Sometimes Free is OK.

Guy
Pulled off my rsb endlinks are busted and bar maybe bent. FML.

Fitted a dog guard
Pulled all the window glass and the rest of the interior out of the car. taped the insides of the windows I can't remove. Start scuffing tonight.
* Fitted a dog guard to prevent my english setter from driving too;
* Installed a 12V/230V+USB converter on the passenger side of the EAT (convenient for the upcoming holidays);
* Installed two extra 12V sockets in the center console (behind the ash tray, out of site) so the satnav by Garmin and the power converter both are powered while still have the original cigarette lighter available.

Have a nice weekend!
