NICE SHOT for sure! HDR? What camera?

I went off-roading for the first time this weekend. Nothing crazy, just BFE campsite-mountain trails. I kinda liked the Forester all dirty like that  ..But now...since I'm back in the urban life, she must be cleaned.

Performance wise...I could definitely hang with the fellow impreza around them turns. I also almost died. Some donkey didn't know he should not take turns super fast with 4 people in the car (oh...weight affects performance??). We skid and then hit gravel on the side of the road (read, off the road) and swerved back on and, luckily, he was able to control it. He got a lot of **** for doing that...

HDR is for High Dynamic Range photography. It puts details in what you'd otherwise see bleached out or black from the shadows.

Check out these samples here.

I just have the Canon XSI, though most SLR's can do it. You need a camera that saves pics in RAW files, and can do AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing), which is pretty common nowadays.

It's basically taking a picture along with an overexposed and an underexposed duplicate (taken by the AEB mode, and requires a tripod or a steady hand since you need all three lined up with no change), and a program (like Photoshop or Photomatix) merges all three, taking the best parts of each.

It can be done with JPEG files, but JPEGs can cut off some of the colour details with its 8-bit limit, while RAW files use the camera's full 14 or 16 bit colour range.

I just used a few limited tools, but the really good guys can make them look pretty sweet.. Click on the one below for a decent source..

No more Magnaflow love? :icon_frown:
Nope, they are already boxed up and ready to be shipped tomorrow. They sure did sound good and fit nicely in the bumper cutouts though. Kind of a nice change for the time being, with the car so quiet. The neighbors will probably appreciate it

I am however soon enough replacing the whole stock catback with a Bosal/SPT v.1.5 catback. They were on clearance for $375+ shipping so I couldn't pass it up. For an 05+ legacy/OB, that's insanely cheap considering what is included (two axlebacks, a y pipe and a mid pipe).

Once that's on, I will be a running a full aftermarket exhaust (Grimmspeed->Cobb->Bosal). :bananapartyhat:

few pics of the hitch:

Now to buy a bike rack!

Ah, gotcha.. :D Yeah, it's technically HDR, but as some have pointed out, it's not in a scenario where HDR was necessary which is major contrast between white and black areas of the photo.

Pretty fun stuff either way..

Had my Pioneer 3100DVD outfitted with the Bluetooth module. IT ROCKS!

It worked seamlessly with the Sprint EVO 4G I had for a few days...ended up returning it because it was just WAY to big and I couldnt get used to Android!

Had some initial problems pairing it with my Blackberry Bold 9650, but got it to work. The only thing I have to figure out is loading the contacts onto the stereo!

improved the ride height. still need to turn down the rear a little bit; just playing it safe to avoid rubbing. but that's the best part, so far NO RUBBING!

once i've got the ride height completely dialed in i'll take some proper pics with my SLR.

Cleaned it all by myself (as opposed to taking it to a car wash and watching some sap do the hard work while I drink coffee and check out whats new on [I can't post URL's yet - even in reply's]
OT: I can't believe they charge what they charge for a car wash now and then the high school kids that dry off your car STILL want a tip on top of what you just paid!

When I was their age.... :mob:
