Took Subed to the smog shop for his very first emissions test. Passed with flying colors.

Went dorrrrriftoooooo in a roundabout, with a bike in the back of the Foz. And yes, the roundabout was in BFE and no innocent children were harmed.

Your photos always look so nice. Do you PS them or are you just a gifted photographer (or both)?
Oh thanks, I appreciate the compliment! My hubby and I do have a photography side business, and I use editing software (not so much PS except in rare circumstances, but Aperture with NIK plug-ins) for my photos.

Finally retrofitted Slynki with a variable intermittent wiper stalk.

I hit a break in the median and e-braked around the turn and shot back up the street. the rain helped me out a bit so a quick drift wasn't too difficult (note: there wasn't much traffic at all so I wasn't endangering others, just myself).
Don't try the ebrake turns too often if you value your center differential...

Replaced the stock steering wheel:
How did you make the 04+ wheel fit your SF? I thought the airbag plugs were different. We have the 02-03 MOMO (yellow arrow) in our 98 and the 04 (red arrow) in the FXT.

I'm definitely thinking about it, there's nothing on my steering wheel that makes me want to keep it :p Is that one out of a wrx? It looked like the momo's out of the wrx's are just drop in and go, but the sti ones are a bit more involved to install, but better (2.7 turns to lock as opposed to 3 turns).
You're confusing steering wheels and steering racks. You'll have to switch out the rack to get the shorter ratio.

Did an oil change on Subed, and took a sample for a long overdue Blackstone analysis.

Crossed the 260,000 mile threshold with Slynki and gave her a congratulatory oil change.

Picked up a cargo floor hook from the junkyard and put it in the 2014- so much nicer than holding up the damn floor
The '14s don't come with one? Damn Subaru bean counters, haha! The one on my '04 XT broke, so I picked one up from an '01 at a junkyard recently too.

Dodged a bullet today... seafoamed the Slynkster, and the motor started knocking and kept on running even after the key was removed from the ignition. Thought I had killed her just short of her 300k milestone! So I let he sit for 5 minutes, started her back up, and she's back to purring like a kitten. All good now!

So do you think it's worth it to Seafoam,Silke?
Depends, Rob... for us it's a (not quite) last ditch effort to get rid of the P0420 code before we have to smog her. I wouldn't really recommend it as part of a regular maintenance regimen. Noah from LIC said "that stuff kills engines," and I'm inclined to believe someone with his experience. To be honest, I wouldn't be doing it to Subed, but it's worth a shot for Slynki before we spend $2k on new cats. Speaking of cats, I'm completely convinced now that Slynki has nine lives or something. She refuses to die!

Thanks Opie... already considered going that route, but they only have the rear Bosal cat that's legal for California, and we'll need to replace both (IF we decide to replace them), because right now Slynki has a one-piece cat section (instead of two pieces). We'll probably try a citric acid bath next if the Seafoam doesn't do the trick.
