Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

It looked like a sunny dry day, so I ran errands in the Forester today. You guessed it, I ran into a major downpour, so now I need to wash the Forester again.

Went to Home depot, rented a cast iron pipe cutter so I could finish tying the the PVC drains into the old main stack.......god damn the smell and sludge in those pipes we effing gagging......I cant wait till I finish my home renovations...
Moved stuff from my Foz to the Montero :| Washed and waxed the Monty.
I cleaned my ride....sort of.

I left the XT outside overnight since it was raining hard and I do not feel like washing it when it is in the 40s outside!
received phillips bulbs for the corners and tail. they are amber blinking but appear silver. XT666 installed them and did a write up in his journal for those interested. seen here

prolly install them tomorrow

This makes me sad Jess... :shake:
yeah yeah.. I think I'm more sad than anyone! lol. New pics of the Monty on my Journal page. :)
Installed the Green Panel Filter and...
Wich reminds me.... Have to track my order
MB Quart component speakers installed yesterday. Makes me want to throw some midbass in the rear doors and a 10" sub in the back. Going to make a fiberglass enclosure to hopefully conserve as much space as possible. No telling when that will happen...but it is now on the list. Rear sway bars are waiting the STi mounts, then it's ready to go on!
Changed the oil and trans fluid the day before yesterday.
Switched back to my 94 octane setup for the summer... too bad they're going to try and close all the local Sunoco stations on me :frown:
My wife and I put on her rear bumper cover on yesterday.
I did some unscientific testing (simply comparing fuel economy running several tanks of different brands in a row), and Sunoco continuously presented itself as the absolute worst. Exxon showed to be the best but occasionally inconsistent. BP showed to be the most consistent, but with lower average economy than Exxon.

7-11 proved to be all over the place, so I think they just get their gas from the lowest bidder. Shell and Chevron turned up about the same results, both on par with BP.

anything make enough of a difference on mpg factoring in cost/gallon to make a difference in your mind?
Subed finally got some new shoes yesterday... Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. The BFG G-Force Sports served us well and lasted over 40k!
Got stuck

Got stuck in my forester for the first time yesterday, it was the first time we even took it out to see what it could do stock. Now its time to beef it up and laugh as i go by that spot again haha. If anyone has good suggestions for lifts and tires for 98 forester please PM me.
Finished up my vf43/08 STI TMIC swap Wednesday......I know I know but hey better late then never.
Took the 2010 up to the dealer for its Friday hand wash!

Ordered new tires for the 2007.
