I know this is a bit late, but I didn't see anyone else comment on it...

Are those two pads from the same side of the car? If so, you should check your brake caliper pins. Looks like your caliper isn't floating properly, causing one side to wear while the other doesn't.
Yes, that's it (both on the RH side), I greased them all up when putting the new pads in seems to be ok now, I'll check them again in about a wek or so to make sure. Thanks.

Rear gate bar

Installed the rear gate bar today. Purchased from C&C Carworks.
Didn't come with the template. I called and they sent it out immediately.
The template will get you close... but make sure you measure!!

Had I just used the template, I would have a few extra holes in my car!

Also the bolts are angled slightly inward, keep that in mind when drilling. If you mark the holes exactly with the bolts it will be too tight a fit.

All in all, easy job and looks cool.

Repainted my grill. It was originally plasti-dip, and when I went to sand a few nics it started peeling so I just rubbed all the old plasti-dip off. Took a while to do that!

But a few hours, sanding, and three coats of plasti-dip later it looks great! (Yes, I pulled the badge off and did it separately).

(P.S. I didn't paint the whole top which is under the hood, so it looks dusty. Just the first step on top).

Looks Great! How do you like plasti-dip, I've heard it peels off quite easily over time?

The previous owner had done the plasti-dip at some point before I bought it - I've had it since August of 2008. It was actually plasti-dip over another paint on the chrome/plastic.

There were a couple of spots where it looks like a rock knocked the finish off down to the chrome. Not really a problem with the plasti-dip.

I did, however, make some of it loose a while back (maybe 8 months ago) when I was using the pressure-washer at the car wash. It seemed to bubble a little where either something hit it or there was an imperfection that caught my eye. So yes, the plasti dip came a little loose unfortunately; but I don't know 100% if the surface under it was nice and perfectly prepped for finish.

I think the plasti-dip had faded a little too...but it's been on there for years. And the nice thing, not too hard to peel off to redo.

The few bad spots is why I pulled it off to redo it. I can tell you, I really like the way the plasti-dip looks after drying. Nicely evened out and looks quite professional.

Ah thanks, I missed that.

Its a small detail but it makes a difference, I like it.
Here are some daytime pics for a better look. 1) stock suspension (the photo from the ad before I bought it). 2) After STI suspension swap.
