Hauled some sod for the yard. Technically the sod was in the Old Town canoe...but pulled by the Forester so it counts! That canoe has carried firewood, appliances, furniture, lumber...and even fish. Phoebe though the sod was for her...

today

Spent this afternoon changing out my spark plugs and fixing my radio. Apparently crutchfield neglected to tell me about connecting two wire that would boost my antenna. All fixed now! I might add that I've changed plugs on an 02 WRX, 07 STi, and now my 04 FXT and the forester was by far the hardest! Seemed like way less room than the others, and the driver side is harder than the passenger for some reason.

Windows tinted, moon roof tinted, moved a wooden trunk, and then drove 45 minutes to pick up my Whiteline sway bars for install this week. It was a good day.

I bought another 2.5Rs! Its going to be my new work vehicle. The Blue ones is my old RS my Wife has been driving it for years. The new Rs is the Black one and its a 5 speed which is soooo nice. The Blue RS is an auto which just sucks the fun out of it.

I changed my oil - All by myself! Haven't changed my own oil in a couple of decades. The oil filter in the cars I've owned was just too hard to get at, and over time I didn't fit under my cars as easily either. The new Forester has the filter Right There on the top front of the engine, and generous ground clearance means even I can easily slide underneath to remove the drain plug. Replaced the plug with a Fumoto valve to make the next oil change even easier.

Got a box today from Amazon with air and cabin filters and a Haynes manual. Didn't bother taking the air filter out of the box - I could tell it wouldn't fit at a quick glance. Pulled the dash apart to install the cabin filter (the old one looked like a forest floor covered in old leaves and acorn hulls). New filter was awful small, so I cleaned the original one the best I could and put it back in. Then came inside and processed my return...

Also put on my subaruforester.org decal! :woohoo:

Installed a Whiteline rear sway bar, new wheels/tires, HPS pads F/R, Subaru hp trans fill, front WRX struts/springs, and got shot down by one of the dreaded rear lower strut bolts. :icon_cry: So I'm sitting a little raked at the moment. These are the typed words of a broken man. It was such a great install day to be pooped on by one bolt.

I got mine a set of Enkie EKM3 wheels :woohoo: , should be here by the end of the week.
Make sure to post up some pics of those! Those wheels are on my short list of potentials

Today I picked up some NAPA XL exhaust hangers for my MadDad 3" cat-back that will go on in a couple weeks and then cut apart my grill with a Dremel in preparation for the mesh customization that will be going into it! Tomorrow I swap trans fluids to a 50/50 mix of Motul and Redline. It will be glorious.
