Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

had it towed to IAG to have the brembo install done
drove it for the first time in a few weeks
that was really yesterday, today i went to the annapolis subaru open house
used to to haul tires and a dog crate over to my storage locker. getting read to finish the hedlights
redid my headlights(yesterday)
tackling bumper(today)
finished plastic welding my bumper and start sanding:puke:
received phillips bulbs for the corners and tail. they are amber blinking but appear silver. XT666 installed them and did a write up in his journal for those interested. seen here

prolly install them tomorrow
I did some unscientific testing (simply comparing fuel economy running several tanks of different brands in a row), and Sunoco continuously presented itself as the absolute worst. Exxon showed to be the best but occasionally inconsistent. BP showed to be the most consistent, but with lower average economy than Exxon.

7-11 proved to be all over the place, so I think they just get their gas from the lowest bidder. Shell and Chevron turned up about the same results, both on par with BP.
anything make enough of a difference on mpg factoring in cost/gallon to make a difference in your mind?
yesterday: picked up 4 used 255/40/18 azeni's for $100. Sold 3 255/35/18 star specs for 210(minus 108 to ship). Net =$2 and 1 tire. Enough tread to get me through this year, and the extra sidewall should be nice

today: 320 grit sanding on bumper
