What did you do to your subie today?

Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

I watched my wife drive it away and go shopping for several hours.

BUT the coolest thing was the interview when she returned. This was the first time she'd driven it since my tune last week, and she (not one to notice these things) said she noticed more power and smoother drive!

This made me happy.

Dang this is good thread I just discovered. I don't hang on this forum enough. Today I put mine on ramps and tweaked my new suspension setup to get rid of a faint clunk. Think I got it...we'll see after a few days of test driving.

Bought 04 STi steering rack and pedals for 08 FXT
Awesome mod (rack), you will be happy.

Is there such a thing as to shiny? 6 hours of clay baring to get the now what would ya'll suggest to keep it this shiny?
I am new to having a car nice enough to keep shiny..lol my arm feels like it is about to fall off. but wow that shine was worth the effort.
Looks great, can you drive down to Augusta and help me with mine? Lunch on me.....
trust me green,if I had not gotten that paint over spray on it, I would not have even done it to mine. but after seeing the end result I am not as upset as I was yesterday. when I got the clay bar it looked like a bar of soap and I thought how is this going to work.

but a lot of elbow grease and well the results speak for them self.

the funny part was when I drove into the quarter car wash with it all clean and shiny..lol
but I wanted to spray off the residue and streaks from the clay bar.
now to see how long I can keep it clean.
I didnt' realize you got paint overspray on it, but don't feel too bad I've done that TWICE now - once hot pink, once hot yellow. PITA to get off, I still find tiny dots of yellow on my car here and there, one year later.
