Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

I am going to say they are 02-04 WRX wheels, painted gold.
You are correct! Thanks!
Did my first ever oil change! Only took me about 2.5 hours. :icon_biggrin:
It gets easier every time. For me it's getting that plastic shield unattached and out of the way. I've got it down to .5 of an hour now. :Banane37:
Exactly! that stupid plastic plate took forever! Then I had to go back to the auto parts store and get an oil filter wrench ha.
Just finished cleaning it out, now I'm off to the car wash. :icon_cool:
Also got my rear defrost fixed, so now I don't have to scrape ice! :Banane02:
Well since we had our first snow storm since I have owned it and I want to keep the carpet nice and clean ,I bought her some winter floor mats at advance auto.

these have a lip around them to catch the water.

they said cut to fit, but surprisingly they fit perfect with out any cutting.

they are flexable enough that they form fit the floor sides.

and they where under $30.00 even the color matched nice. :woohoo:
I got those exact same ones for Christmas! I had to cut on mine a bit to fit drivers side. I don't know if I really like em, they kinda catch on my foot when I put the clutch in. :icon_confused:
Hi Matt,I could have trimmed mine a little ,but mine seemed to form pretty well,so I just left them as they where,I just off set the drivers side some.

So far I really like mine, my boots are always picking up gravel, so I think since they match so well I am going to leave them in year round.

mine is an auto. so no clutch issue.
I do agree they look quite good being they are just generic floor mats for any car. I'm sure I will get used to them ha.
Installed new knock sensor and clutch slave cylinder, now I have no more codes and my clutch feels a crap ton better!
Fixed my overhead Clock! :bananapartyhat: First time ever soldering too!
Installed kartboy short throw shifter and a new cobb knob.
Sitting in the shop now getting a tire leak fixed.
Tried to find my shifter rattle, think I found it but not quite sure what to do about.
Ordered some new rear S U B A R U hatch letters, mine are all nasty looking.
Packed some grease in my shifter to hopefully stop the rattle, and got my new rear hatch letters in the mail today!
Went to the car wash and enjoyed how well my new mud flaps keep road spray off.
Drove it, realized that I kinda suck at driving stick, how long does it take before it gets to that second nature point?
