Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

Today I installed a new cargo liner in my 2010 limited. It is great, and I'm very surprised how close it matches my platinum leather seats. If you don't have one yet and are interested, go to cargoliner.com Also, I'm interested in installing blind spot mirrors if anyone can recommend good ones for heated mirrors. I want to be sure any I purchase will work on heated mirrors. Any suggestions on that subject?

Tom
any photos? i would be interested to see the fit and finish
installed sport mesh grill, re-baked and re-painted headlights(god that sucked) and used scratch x on back hatch where i got a little too aggressive while de-badging the foz.
pictures tomorrow

08 sti rear sway/endlinks/bushing come monday
Busy day on spent on my wifes new daily driver 2010 XT, installed the following stuff today:

Splash guards
body side mouldings
bumper cover
upper strut tower brace

I put allot of thought into the boost gauge installation over the last week I think it came out great. The gauge is a pro-sport peak/warn boost guage in an autometer 2 1/16" cup velcrowed to the dash, no holes were drilled.
Did you get a upper strut tower brace to fit on the 09?
finished painting the front 2 brake caliper black... though i think i will have to re-do them since i didn't sand and this crap seems to flake right off. rear 2 tomorrow
Not my Subie, but JE's (Preacher)....

Installed his Subtle Carbon Fiber Exhaust heatshield. I don't have any pictures, but it looks killer on top of the matt black vinyl.

FYI....we only have 3 of these heatshields left in stock!
i bet that looks badass. he better get some photos up
Watched it shake in the driveway 20 mins ago. 5.9 earthquake in mexicali...felt it in H.B. tonight.
That was a gnarly quake...
Tinted the tails, not really happy with the finish to be honest. Hoping after being in the sun it will set a little bit. Also tinted the red reflectors in the rear bumper
peeled off the cheap looking tail light tint film. took the foz to subaru and then a body shop to try and get an explanation of why my clear coat has random "rain drop" looking bubbles in about 15 random spots
Installed a ddm HID kit. Pretty simple install and the stock housing does a great job of containing the extra light.
HAHAH SAME HERE! Just finished. Was pretty easy. The light spread looks fine from 25ft away on a wall. Tonight I'm gonna see if anyone flashes their brights at me...hopefully not! Also installed the 3k fog lights. I need to adjust those...they point right at the ground.
how did you do the wires coming into the round cap on the back of the headlights? i had to use silicone to fill the gap
I ran the wires coming out of the knob. I hacked one side knob to allow more clearance. What temperature bulbs did you get? I installed the 5k 35w.
Can you show me a picture of how you did it? I may want to change mine up.

I did 5k 35w also
5
so i forgot to post photos of the finished wrap, here is everything finished with the RA mud flaps on( ignore the ugly cargo box, a necessary evil for winter)
