Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

Cleaned it all by myself (as opposed to taking it to a car wash and watching some sap do the hard work while I drink coffee and check out whats new on www.subaruforster.org).
OT: I can't believe they charge what they charge for a car wash now and then the high school kids that dry off your car STILL want a tip on top of what you just paid!

When I was their age.... :mob:

Your right, I am fortunate to have once-a-week car washing as a tax deduction, so as long as I get a receipt, I will pay - but am not going to tip.
What is absolutely inexcusable at a car wash is:
1. Inferior cleaning.
2. Crap coffee.
3. Small jerk who rips off your coins.
Got the rear bumper fixed from where I reversed into a bollard a few weeks ago.

I just dont believe it. At the local shopping centre some jerk ran a trolley into the bumper. No note of course. So I have to get the whole frigging thing fixed again.
Changed the fog lights to +50's and the head lights to +60's, then adjusted both to get a longer and wider beam, that has greater light consistency.
Worked on the seals on doors and windows to reduce the whistle
Had the old girl (XTP -not wife) detailed for a possible quote on the new Forrester XT Sports (refer other thread)
New rubber all round. Goodyear Excellence. Nice tyre.
