Thought it would be fun to start a thread on everyday things we do here and there to our beloved Subarus. The weather is getting nicer, so I'm sure we will all be outside more tinkering on our cars.

Today has been a busy day for me! Got my Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 tires in yesterday from Tirerack for the Sti and had them mounted and balanced today by a real cool guy off of Nasioc. If anyone wants his info in the PNW PM me. He runs a legit business out of his home doing tire stuff n such, for a really good deal. But let me tell ya, these tires are STICKY!!! They pick up gravel everywhere but they are SOOOoo nice! It feels like a different car

When I got back from joyriding the STi in it's new tires, I washed the Forester (for the second time this week) and finally got around to hand waxing it. Looks pretty, but boy is there a lot of bumps and bruises on it!

What did you guys do to the subarus today??

topped off some fluids -- gear oils, tranny, engine oil and coolant
Refreshed the power steering fluid and solder-repaired the overhead clock that's been on the blink for a decade!
EvilDan, You're a much better man than Shakeman! How long did that take you???
Cleaned the upholstery with TurtleWax Oxy Stain Cleaner (scrub brush can), and dismantled the MAF to give it a good spray of CRC MAF cleaner.
Installed a rear door speaker housing and speaker -- Infinity.
Removed and replaced timing belt, p-s belt, a/c belt and all idler pulleys.
Gave the Forester a hand job -- hand wash, compound, polish and wax.

Collinite Wax products are pretty amazing!
I had set of Cooper GLS Mainliners installed yesterday. Probably the smoothest and quietest tires I've had on this ride. They're so quiet I can now hear my right rear bearing ;-)
I beat the ballz off it. Ran it as hard as possible through the Pocono Mtns. Good Times!

Sometimes ya gotta get the lead out
4,000mi oil change / NAPA Premium 5W-30 / Lucas Oil Stabilizer ...
At 135,00mi., the original front brake pads and rotors were replaced today with Wagner Edge pads and rotors.
Inspected and cleaned rear drum brakes. At 135,000 miles the rears look good. Also inspected the fuel filler pipe. It's beyond the point of no return
Passed State inspection and replaced the front, driver side, half axle.
Also got gas and as a reward for my grandma-driving style, got 25 CITY mpg since my last fill up!
Drove around town all day yesterday too. All while Keeping the rpms under 2k and the speed under or near the limits.

Long Live Grandma!
adjusted tire pressures -- it's starting to get cold out there!
After a roadtrip to and tailgate party at University Park I thoroughly cleaned the interior -- WE ARE PENN STATE!
Recharged the K&N filter, cleaned the MAF and its screen assembly. As always there's a noticeable increase in HP. Love it! Also checked and topped off the engine oil. At 2,000mi. the oil level was only down a 1/2qt. At 136,000mi. I'll take it! NAPA Premium 5W-30 w/Lucas Oil Stab. @5%.

Happy Holidays, everyone!
Slapped a new rear window wiper on it, and drove it 300 miles yesterday!
adjusted tire pressures and topped off the washer fluid -- it's the little things that matter
Bled out all the old brake fluid -- the original factory brake fluid!
