How would you know if a wastegate is good without putting it on the car with the turbo? What other differences could there be between two VF series turbos besides the spring rate?

Also is a VF turbo WG different from a TD04 one?

Does anyone know off hand the WG spring rates for a 22 and 23?

Use a hand pump or air compressor (with regulator of course) to apply pressure to the WGA. You can figure out at which point it starts to open.

VF and TD04 WGA's are different.

Don't know what the spring rates on a 22 or 23 are...

Just saw your reply. Thanks! I think the spring rates for the 22 and 23 are 8 psi.
