I know about the fitment thread which is stickied. I looked through it but couldn't find anyone running something like this so.. here it goes

Ive been looking at wheels and tire setups for a while here anticipating springtime, my birthday and a new job.

I am on Forester specific Swift sport springs on kyb-gr2 struts.
I do not want to change my suspension setup because occasionally I drive on somewhat bumpy roads and need the clearance, and comfort of my current setup. I want meaty sidewalls to protect my wheels.

Here is what I want to run.
either
18x8.5 +44 rota grids with a 255/45/18 tire
or
18x9.5 +38 rota grids with a 265/45/18

Anyone know if this will fit?
Help much appreciated

On my 07, i had 18x8 with a 245/45/18 and the rears needed to be slightly rolled and the plastic trim removed. offset was +45

Did they end up rubbing??

I'm about to buy some 18x8.5 et48 and hoping to fit a 245/40/18 without rubbing. Car will be on track extensively now that I just sold my e36 m3.

I've searched a lot and found lots of "theoretical advice" but really want someone to say to me, yes - it fits!

I just put 18x8.5 +35 w/ 245/45r 18...i had to do a slight roll on the rear and that's all. you will have a shorter tire and be 13mm inward from me so yes it will be an easy fit inside the fender. I would worry more about your clearance from tire to strut, because off the top of my head i believe you will have 26mm less room than stock.
