So I have to replace the 5-speed manual transmission my son's 2008 WRX. The tranny is making a whining noise when he drives it. Local transmission shop said the input shaft bearing has alot of play in it. I drained the gear oil out before I removed it from the car. The gear oil looked clo9udy gray like it had metal shavings in it. Anyway I want to post it on facebook and get as much as I can for it. In short I don't know how much to ask for it. I figure it can be used for parts and the case is good. Any ideas on what I should ask for it?
