SOLD!!!

Up for sale is a 2004 Subaru Forester XT in rare Java Black Pearl paint color. 164k miles. 5-speed manual transmission. I picked this FXT up in October of 2018. Now I have two FXTs and need to make space. Regular oil changes. No clutch dumping, pedal to the metal, redlining, or racing happened while I owned it. My driving style is pretty mellow, always rolling into boost, rarely ever going full throttle, and never revving too high. This is how I treat all my vehicles. I'm not trying to break anything—ever. With that said, this car is amazingly fun to drive. I would like the car to go to a good home.

Under my ownership, I fixed up and replaced quite a few things as you can see from my thread here: https://www.subaruforester.org/threads/shellspeeds-04-forester-xt.788659/

TL;DR:
  • No surprise, the EJ255 engine does consume oil. I haven't had good luck with Rotella 5w-40 T6. Using 10w-40 slows down consumption greatly
  • Does not smoke or leak
  • Some rust, as shown in the photos
  • There is a mount for an accessport left there by the previous owner. Car runs great with whatever tune was left on the car. Couldn't tell you which. Did not come with the AP
  • CEL is on for P0457 - and no it is not caused by the gas cap. That's as far as I've gotten on troubleshooting it
  • Heated seats / ice cold AC / heat works great
  • Drives smooth. Transmission shifts smoothly.
  • Comes with some extra Cobb shifter bushings (didn't get around to changing)
Maintenance while under my ownership:
  • Replaced fuel filter (Purolator F54668), spark plugs (NGK 2309), and 1 coil pack (Beck Arnley 178-8392): @163,945mi
  • Replaced rusted out header with used OEM header, all new hardware.
  • Replaced broken exhaust with an Invidia G200 catback
  • Replaced front passenger caliper: @160,735mi
  • Replaced rear driver caliper: @160,735mi
  • Replaced front & rear brake pads & rotors: @160,735mi
  • StopTech Street Performance Pads (F: 309.09290, R: 309.10040)
  • Wagner E-Coated rotors (F: BD126174E. R: BD125046E)
  • Replaced PCV valve (11815AB711): @160,735mi
  • Changed front & rear diff fluid (75W90 Extra S SOA427V1700): @160,735mi
Mod List (most from previous owner):
  • Tomioka Racing TD05-16G Turbo
  • Tomioka Racing wastegate actuator set at 14psi
  • STI tmic
  • Grimmspeed boost solenoid
  • Perrin air filter
  • Invidia downpipe
  • Invidia catback exhaust *
  • First gen Crosstrek wheels
  • Yokohama Geolandar tires,
  • StopTech Street Performance Pads *
  • Wagner E-coated brake rotors *
  • Aftermarket wing *
  • Rally Armor mud flaps (moulded ones also included with car)*
(* installed during my ownership)

No joy rides please. No Trades.

Whats up with the scratch on the driver door? aside from that and the small rust spots, this is a really clean car. I'm currently in the process of selling a house, would love to come take a look at this if still available when I have the funds.

Not sure on the story for the door. The car came that way when we bought it. And sure, just let me know!
