When I first got my 99 I put a hitch on it to pull my 4' x 8' trailer with 2' sides to take the trash to the dump or other occasional reason. I work as a teacher and am considering starting my own part time handyman business. I haven't tried packing it with all of my tools yet but don't think I will be reaching the max. hauling capacity. My concern though is that in the summers I will be full time and hauling it around everywhere and would like to know of anything I should do for such continual use? My 99 is an automatic and I have read on here about flushing the transmission and using a transmission cooler. Should I flush and I suppose that the cooler is not a stock item and should I get one? I know that this kind of use will put a lot of stress on a vehicle but really like the Forester vs. getting a work van. I would rather save up the money and someday replace the drive train than do that. That is if my business turns a profit for it. Any advice would be helpful.
