suspension parts void the warranty of any suspension part you replace

as well as those parts that directly contact said suspension part

example:
replace springs

void:
springs, end links, struts... etc.

SubieGal,
Does that even apply to Subaru parts...like FSTI Springs on an XT, or and STI swaybar on an XT?

replace a rear sway bar...

and you will void suspension on your rear sway, end links, bushings and sway bar mounts

that's about it realistically... :)

Hi SubieGal, would that also void any warranty if the dealer installed the part and it is a Subaru part? Isn't the 20mm rear kit a genuine Subaru part? Thanks.

the dealer wont install it.

the part did not come with YOUR car and thus
it carries no labor warranty.

end user installed items are warranty void....

even on many of the SPT SUBARU parts

from SPT's web site:
Note:
Parts not marked with asterisk(s) are covered by the Limited Warranty for Genuine Subaru Replacement Parts and Accessories.

* Parts with one asterisk are covered by the Parts Only Limited Warranty for Select Genuine Subaru Performance Parts (Labor Excluded). Parts intended for off-highway application only. May bring vehicle out of compliance with safety/emissions standards. Can only be lawfully installed by end user. Click here for complete details.

** Parts with 2 asterisks sold "as is" without any warranty coverage. Intended for off-highway application only. May bring vehicle out of compliance with safety/emissions standards. Can only be lawfully installed by end user. Click here for complete details.

some parts are covered fully

some parts have no labor coverage (cannot be installed by dealership) yet have parts coverage

some parts have NO WARRANTY AT ALL.

but...
in regards to a rear sway bar?
i've not heard of anyone having issues of any kind with regards to warranty.
