Winter is coming up soon in my region of the world, and i want to start rebuilding a blown Sti motor to drop into my 1999 Forester
The motor i'm looking at comes with the stock ECU for the motor.
I'm a quite a bit of a noob when it comes to mechanical stuff for cars.
The part I can't rack my head around is how does the ECU mate with the rest of the car? Does it even hook up to the rest of the car?
Is the motor's ECU a standalone from the rest of the car? That being said, how does this affect OBD2 systems? someone please chime in, because i bet someone else is also wondering this.
