Hi all
Took delivery of a satin white xt touring February 1, 2014. Turbo engine and cvt a winning combination, especially in S#. Steering wheel feedback awesome, requires a bit of concentration at high speed. Two issues I've been reading in the forum, cel/vdc/hill assist/cruise control/s mode, and power lift gate remote control, did happen to the car. Both issues solved, no problems now. Cheers.

Could you elaborate or link me to these problems ? I'm planning on getting a XT as well but haven't come across these issues yet.

Hopefully you will not come across these issues. The rear lift gate remote operation is all about doing it right. When car is locked, I press key fob unlock button twice (all 5 doors now unlocked), then press and hold lift gate button for a good 3 sec, then let go, rear gate opens. To close it, press and hold same lift gate button for 3 sec. The key point here is a good 3 sec.
The other issue, my fault. The second week I had the car, I depleted the battery, by playing around with everything in the dashboard, checking out everything from navigation to iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, playing Sirius audio channels, testing the limits of the Harmon kardon speakers, headlights and interior lights on, all the while with the engine off. Sitting in the driveway at night, outside temp being @ 23 F, 20-25 minutes into my madness, the LCD screen goes blank, the car is dead, wouldn't start. Dead battery. The next morning, I jump started the foz using my other SUV, then noticed the problems stated by several xt touring owners.

3 days later, everything went back to normal, didn't do a thing. And haven't had any other problems since. :icon_cool:

Thanks for clearing that up!!! I'll be aware of that in the future, as maybe it'll be all fixed up for the 2015 model that I might wait for.

You will have a blast driving your XT. It's exciting to know that every component for a more spirited driving is available in the XT. Namely, turbo engine, sport sharp cvt, and quick paddle shifters. On other days, shift into D and just go.

I took one out for a test drive the other day, and I gotta say i'm hooked!! I'll wait for the 2015 XT model to come out here in Canada, (which is said to have the push start) which should be arriving around march/april

Just found out the front disc brakes in the XT are a bit larger than the 2.5 models. Combine that with downshifts from the left paddle, emergency braking should be no problem. Sometimes, it's hard to realize how fast the car is going.
Anyways, I had to pre-order my car, and waited 8 weeks for delivery, as not many dealers around had them in stock. How's the XT inventory by you?
