This is probably a stupid question to ask, but what the heck, I need an answer.. on the 09-10 Forester key fob, is the trunk button supposed to UNLOCK the trunk or OPEN it? I can't find my owners manual for the life of me.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

It does nothing on the Forester. They use the same FOBS for the models in the lineup and some of those utilize the trunk open button.

Mine just unlocks the trunk and leaves the four other doors locked. It does not open (like the Lexus RX 350's). You still have to push that button in the hatch to open the trunk.
