No they are different. Don't put the engine one on for the tranny. And don't buy an after market one for the tranny. And it isn't recommended to change it. Yea..fill it through the dipstick tube.

If you drain the pan on the level it will take about 6 ounces short of a gallon to fill.

Dont change, ever? It's 11 years old. It must need changing at some point.

In spite of recommendations..I would personally change it.
