I took my 2011 Forester to walmart and they identified that the tams sensor on front passenger wheel is bad. So far so good.

I initially brought subaru gem sensor but was told they can't program it so I had them put in their "universal" tpms sensor.

I noticed tpms light was still blinking so I went back right away.

However, I was told I have to drive 30miles for it to reset. 500 miles later, still behaving the same. Blinking light that turns into steady. Nothing really changed.

Seems like it wasn't programmed at all. What could they have done wrong?

I believe they maybe incompetent but at least honest people.

I will stop by on Friday but anything I can tell them to help them fix?

Unknownst to them, perhaps the sensor is not compatible with Subaru?
