I am really interested in a hitch for my 2005 FXT. I am leaning toward the 1.25" hitch because it will mostly carry a bike rack and one or two trips with a small trailer. I do have the Cobb exhaust system. Has anyone had a conflict with a new hitch & the muffler? I assume most hitches are designed around the OE muffler.

I have a Curt hitch and have an axle back muffler on my 04XT. I've heard that you can get kart boy XL exhaust hangers so that the muffler doesn't hit the hitch. My muffler actually touches the hitch because I have regular size hangers. I have a piece of high temp gasket pinched between the muffler and the hitch because they rattle together without it.
