After examining the oem intercooler and rubber from the 2004 FXT hood scoop, it seems to me that it's not an "air tight" seal when the hood is closed. Has anyone modded their setup (via extra flange or seal) to make the seal "leak free and air tight" so no air escapes where the rubber touches the edges of the TMIC? I'm curious as to how much air flow that comes from the scoop escapes out the side gaps where the rubber duct meets the TMIC.

The Subtle splitter is made for the much larger STi TMIC. It is too big to seal the XT TMIC. The stock one should seal good enough. I'd be more worried about the tiny restrictive XT TMIC and plastic end plates more than I would worry about it not sealing 100%.
